About the Role
Are you looking to grow your land surveying career?
We are looking for a Junior Surveyor to join our field crew. We will provide mentorship and development to support your career growth.
You will focus on supporting boundary and topographic survey projects in the field. You will join our Greater Washington Survey Team, reporting to a Survey Supervisor. Projects will mostly be located between Mukilteo and Puyallup, Washington and will require travel within the Puget Sound and out of town on occasion.
You Will:
Help with the setup and operation of survey instruments.
Perform field surveys for boundary, property line and mapping projects.
Collect horizontal data and vertical data to support site civil design (roads, grading, drainage, utilities)
Maintain accurate and organized field notes.
Perform basic calculations and field checks to verify measurements.
You Have:
1+ years of experience in land surveying or related fieldwork preferred; however, we are willing to train candidates who have a strong interest in land surveying and enjoy working outdoors, even if you have no prior experience.
Coursework or certification in Surveying or geomatics preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
Physically able to lift and carry equipment, walk long distances and navigate rugged terrain.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Compensation Information: Hourly rate for this position is in the range of $20.00-$25.00 depending on qualifications.
Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. As employee-owners, we are eligible for performance-based bonuses and our salaries are reviewed annually. We value transparency and look forward to discussing our compensation structure.
