Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Description We are seeking skilled aircraft sheet metal mechanics to work on brand new Boeing 737 BBJ's and Airbus A220 ACJ's directly from the factory. The role involves performing sheet metal assembly, installations, and modifications. Responsibilities Perform sheet metal assembly, installations, and modifications on aircraft. Interpret and work from engineering drawings. Utilize hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently. Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Maintain and inventory personal tools, ensuring they are etched and ready for use. Work collaboratively within a team in a hangar/outside environment. Essential Skills 3-5+ years of experience in Aircraft Sheet Metal/Structures. Proficient in sheet metal assembly, installation, and modification. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience with Boeing and Airbus aircraft preferred. Possession of own tools, which are etched and inventoried. Willingness to work 5+ hours of overtime weekly. Flexibility to work both 1st and 2nd shifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in P145 repair stations and commercial aircraft maintenance. Familiarity with rivet and structural modification techniques. Experience with corporate jets, regional jets, and helicopters. Why Work Here? Candidates must be open to working either the 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) or 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm), with the majority of work occurring during the 2nd shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, Delaware. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
