Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician Job Description As a Senior Mechanical Robotics Technician, you will lead a team of service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for challenging problems and managing projects. Responsibilities Perform maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment with at least 2 years of experience. Lead, manage, and train teams of technicians with over 1 year of leadership experience. Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, such as conveyors. Install and troubleshoot components like photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders. Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks and provide feedback on improvements. Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems within the facility. Lead and audit preventive maintenance procedures. Create and close out work orders with detailed data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. Develop training plans for service technicians and work plans for emergency repairs of critical assets. Maintain a positive working relationship across the facility. Essential Skills Experience in robotics, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial equipment. Proficiency in electro-mechanical, electrical maintenance, and pneumatic systems. Experience with automated conveyor systems and preventive maintenance. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, motors, wiring, PLCs, and controls. PC competency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma is required. An Associate Degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, or military training is preferred. 5 years of experience with automated conveyors and controls. 5 years of experience with electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial electronics. Work Environment The role operates on a shift schedule, either 'Back Half Nights' or a 'Donut' mid-shift (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday).
