POSITION SUMMARY:

Builds, installs or maintains components, woodwork, casework and furniture at Coors Field and McGregor Square. Performs ceiling, wall and flooring repairs. Performs general duties necessary to prepare and maintain interior and exterior surfaces. Work with the Manager of Engineering to prioritize the carpenter maintenance requests so they get completed in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Builds and repairs walls, casework, ceilings, floors, etc. and refinish wood products.

Perform layout and framing work. Install, tape and finish drywall.

Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, laminate, and other materials. Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.

Complete flooring repairs, including tile, carpet, rubber, and re-staining and refinishing of materials.

Repair miscellaneous millwork needed around Coors Field or McGregor Square.

Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.

Designs and installs cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation.

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accurately read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.

Contribute to an accident-free work environment by complying with all safety measures of equipment and workmanship.

Carpenter assignments will include work at Coors Field and McGregor Square that will be assigned via work orders or PMs via Angus, the work order system.

Work is assigned by means of verbal or written orders and is carried out by the position in accordance with standard practices of the carpentry trade.

Expected to exercise independent judgment in times of immediate need or emergency situations.

Maintain inventory of supplies and the ability to order from suppliers.

Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas.

Assists in other work areas in the department, ballpark, or McGregor Square, as needed or directed by the Assistant Director or Senior Director of Engineering.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

High School Diploma or GED

3 years experience in Maintenance or Construction as a Carpenter

Computer Skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, pdf software (Preferred).

Ability to use a cell phone to clock-in, clock-out and receive work orders.

Ability to use tape measure, level, laser level, table saw, sander, hammer and other tools associated with the carpenter profession.

Ability to work with and repair laminated cabinetry.

Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.

Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

Operating equipment used in the building trades - forklift, lifts, carts, etc.

A driver's license in good standing as driving may be required as part of job duties

Consistent, punctual and regular attendance.

Professional image and demeanor.

Customer service oriented & strong customer service skills.

Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Must be able to work on average 28 hours per week during traditional working hours Mon. thru Fri. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The schedule could be shorter hours each day, or three full days.

Advance notice will be given for schedule changes whenever possible.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, tools, and materials (up to 50 lbs. regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.).

Frequent use of ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to access elevated work areas such as rooftops and ceilings in tall buildings and maintain balance while working in elevated or awkward positions.

Frequent kneeling, bending, squatting, or crouching to access millwork in tight spaces or on floors and ceilings.

Ability to reach overhead to install or repair ceiling components and work in tight or obstructed spaces.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods, sometimes in uneven or outdoor terrain, to perform routine inspections and repairs across various areas of the property (residential, hotel, business, and outdoor).

Ability to walk on hard surfaces, grass, or gravel while carrying tools and materials.

Ability to manipulate small parts and components in confined or hard-to-reach spaces.

Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms (e.g., turning screwdrivers/wrenches, using tools, and repairing components) during routine work.

Ability to see clearly, read gauges, inspect equipment, and precisely complete tasks.

Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions, warning signals, and environmental sounds (e.g., operating machinery, equipment, alarms, or calls for assistance).

Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to:

Indoor environments (offices, mechanical rooms, hallways, etc.).

Outdoor environments (rooftops, parking lots, grounds, etc.) in varying weather conditions.

Ability to work in high and low temperatures, dusty or noisy environments, and near chemicals or other potentially hazardous materials.

Regular exposure to all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat

Noise levels in the work environment is frequently loud, up to 130 decibels for short durations, with appropriate hearing protection

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Hourly Pay Of - $30-$35.

This is a temporary, part-time position that is not eligible for company health and welfare benefits.
