Mechanical Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Technician for a Contract job with a client in Tualatin, OR . This role involves interpreting blueprints to support fabrication and collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot and improve machinery designs. Rate Range: $20/hour to $28/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Mechanical Technician job responsibilities include: Modify, test, and repair machinery and equipment under the guidance of engineering staff. Interpret blueprints and project instructions to plan fabrication, assembly, and testing procedures. Draft detailed sketches and technical drawings to support part fabrication and design updates. Collaborate with engineers to evaluate and implement design changes and manufacturing methods. Inspect and verify technical drawings for accuracy and clarity, ensuring compliance with specifications. Perform calculations and measurements to assess tool designs and ensure functional performance. Desired Qualifications: Associate's degree in engineering technology or a related field. 2-4 years of relevant hands-on experience in mechanical systems or equipment. Proficiency in reading blueprints and preparing technical sketches or drawings for fabrication and assembly.
