Mechanic/Maintenance Technician Location: Jefferson Parish, LA Pay Rate: $21/hour Schedule: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and skilled Mechanic/Maintenance Technician to assist the owner with repairs and maintenance on a wide range of equipment and facilities. This hands-on role involves mechanical work, welding, and general upkeep of industrial equipment, vehicles, and buildings. Key Responsibilities: Assist with mechanical repairs on industrial equipment, conveyors, forklifts, trucks, and trailers Perform welding and fabrication as needed for equipment and building repairs Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical systems Support building maintenance tasks, including minor construction and repair work Work closely with the owner to prioritize tasks and complete projects efficiently Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required Strong mechanical background with experience in equipment and vehicle repair Welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift Comfortable working around machinery and in various weather conditions Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Great opportunity to work alongside the owner and grow your skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
