JOB SUMMARY

The role of Business Development Manager is to develop and execute plans to pursue qualified leads to increase Whirley-DrinkWorks! sales performance.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Identification -Identifying and qualifying new customers and markets. Duties may include:

  • Researches prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursues leads and follows through to a successful agreement.
  • Maintains relationships with current clients and identifies new prospects within the assigned.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Traveling to customers for face-to-face meetings to understand customer needs.

New Product Development - Develops a strong understanding of customer needs and plans and executes strategies to meet those needs through collaboration with Whirley-DrinkWorks! marketing, art, engineering, operations, and sales teams. Duties many include:

  • Understands the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and the market strategies can be used to attract clients.
  • Collaborates with design and sales teams to ensure that requirements are met.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning.
  • Follows the latest industry developments and stays up-to-date on corporate competitors.
  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.

Brand Development - Protects and enhances the Whirley-DrinkWorks!/EasyGo! reputation through enhancing the customer experience and utilizing our company values.

  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing value added requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

GENERAL CONDUCT

  • Maintains respectful working relationship with TeamMates and Team Leaders, to promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Committed to continual Improvement to raise personal performance to meet and exceeds the standard and to develop new methods to eliminate wastes, improve productivity and reduce customer complaints.

  • Seeks other tasks during downtime and printing machine changeovers, i.e., assisting co-workers when assigned with their duties if they are behind, cleaning machines and work area.

  • Submits new ideas to improve safety, quality and procedural operations that will benefit the company.
  • Actively participates in departmental meetings by providing suggestions for improvement, problem solving and offering feedback.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, finance, accounting, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in business development, sales or a similar field.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to travel for customer specific business with little to no notice for up to 20% of work schedule.
