Journeyman Electrician Job Description We are seeking a state-certified Journeyman Electrician to work on commercial solar job sites. This role involves working with transformers, electrical rooms, AC electrical systems, disconnects, combiners, and various site types including flat roofs, rooftops, ground mounts, and carports. The position requires extensive travel throughout Northern California and the Central Valley, accounting for 95% of the time. Responsibilities Work on commercial solar job sites, including transformers, electrical rooms, AC electrical systems, disconnects, and combiners. Handle installations on flat roofs, rooftops, ground mounts, and carports. Travel throughout Northern California and the Central Valley up to 95% of the time. Ensure proper grounding and bonding of commercial PV systems. Interpret and read commercial electrical plans and provide self-assessment on proficiency. Use and own tools and testing equipment for solar installations. Troubleshoot layout and wiring issues independently. Train and lead other electricians when necessary. Essential Skills State certification as a Journeyman Electrician. Experience with AC electrical systems and solar installations. Proficiency in conduit bending. Ability to travel extensively. Clean driver's license. Ability to pass a background check. Additional Skills & Qualifications Active ET or JM card. Experience with string inverters, central inverters, and microinverters. Knowledge of combiner boxes and disconnect systems. Capability to lead and train other electricians. Why Work Here?
