Machine Operator - Metalizing Job Description We are seeking a meticulous Machine Operator specializing in metalizing for our cleanroom environment. You will be responsible for inspecting medical products while adhering to our quality standards. Responsibilities Inspect medical products within a cleanroom setting while wearing appropriate attire such as lab coat and glasses. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection sheets to complete inspections. Verify measuring equipment is calibrated properly and alert Supervisor or Manager if equipment validity is in question. Complete paperwork such as data sheets, lab requests, and NCMRs, which may be electronic or hard copy. Perform required inspections, including first article inspections and other documented inspections, as required. Interpret sample size from a standard AQL table. Utilize computers and basic Microsoft Applications for data entry and reporting. Perform other inspection and/or production functions as required. Essential Skills 1-3 years of mechanical inspection experience using a wide variety of equipment with tolerances to at least the 5th decimal point. Good hand-eye coordination. Proficiency in inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and microscopes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and quality control documents. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in quality assurance, quality inspection, and production. Background in medical assembly or machine operating is advantageous. Candidates with artistic abilities, such as drawing or painting, or experience as a nail technician, eyelash technician, or tattoo artist, are encouraged to apply. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a cleanroom environment with shifts available: 1st shift (Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 3:30PM), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday 3:30PM - 12:00AM), and 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday 11:00PM - 7:30AM). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
