Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Space Force - Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Position: Space Force - Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer
Contract: 24 months with possibility of turning permanent
Pay: $86.34/hour
What sets you apart:
Advanced proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings
Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects with successful outcomes
Exceptional communication skills with experience writing technical papers and proposals
Skills in the following areas:
Visio Rack drawing updates
Excel wire list updates
PDM BOM updates
Drawing tree update
New PDM part requests as needed
CAD work (minimal) - Note, we have a designer supporting the program already so the ME support will be oversight we have one program level drawing which details rack mount component ISO views which will need updates for new components
RF Tray custom assembly drawings
Patch panel drawings
Cable trades/selection
Cable estimates - connectivity between racks
Cable VIDs - new/updates
Component SCDs
PDM CRs/CNs, etc.
Support Manufacturing with initial builds, drawing redlines, and As-Built updates
Work content:
Transit Case assembly drawings - rack elevation, BOM, interconnect, wire list - to build 5 units (that are currently in MFG assembly
Rack drawings (elevation, BOM, interconnect, wire lists) - to build 4 lab racks, and ~ 40 site racks (most common designs
