Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Construction Project Manager will be to manage complex healthcare construction projects from inception to completion. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and adhere to the highest quality standards. Compliance with healthcare-specific codes and regulations, such as HIPAA and ADA, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex healthcare construction projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific codes or regulations such as HIPAA and ADA.
- Prepare and present project status reports to the end client (county) and senior management.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and the client.
- Manage change orders and resolve conflicts or issues during the project lifecycle.
- Conduct weekly site visits and inspections to maintain quality control and provide weekly field reports.
Essential Skills
- Hospital construction and construction project management.
- Expertise in project management and construction planning.
- Knowledge of healthcare and hospital construction documentation.
- Proficiency in site construction, site management, and project scheduling.
- Experience with construction documents and safety procedures.
- Compliance with OSHA standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5-10+ years of experience in hospital, healthcare, or medical construction.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel) and project management software, such as Primavera and MS Project.
- PMP Certification preferred.
Work Environment
This position is primarily remote, with frequent job site visits or meetings with the end client at the hospital they are assigned to. There is a possibility of assignments or visits to other hospitals and clinics under the Cook County umbrella, all located within Cook County. The hospitals have designated working spaces dedicated to project teams.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $64.90/hr.
