This Packaging Engineering Technician involves maintaining the safety and efficiency of the Package Engineering Lab (PEL), adhering to 5S principles, and effectively communicating with customers to understand their testing needs. Responsibilities include recording, analyzing, and communicating test data, maintaining lab equipment, designing data acquisition setups, and supporting quality-related product investigations.

What You Will Do
- Responsible for the overall safety of the Package Engineering Lab (PEL) environment. Ensures that all personnel working in the lab are informed of and adhere to the established safety guidelines.
- Ensures the PEL is strictly adhering to 5S principles and tour ready at all times.
- Effectively communicates with the PEL customers to understand their testing needs and project timelines.
- Responsible for the recording, computing, analyzing and effectively communicating test data to the customer, in support of assigned PEL work requests.
- Responsible for the maintenance, care and calibration of lab test instrumentation/equipment. Maintains an active database of the inventory and calibration status for each calibrated lab instrument.
- Designs and implements data acquisition setups to provide error free recording of test data.
- Assists with the research, identification and specification of new lab equipment.
- Works closely with the lab supervisor to understand PEL priorities.
- Monitors chamber inventory system and corrects logging deficiencies.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions.
- Provide analytical and technical support for quality related product investigations.
- Promptly records incoming test samples and communicates reception to the appropriate customer.

- This role is on-site (5 days a week)
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Experience working in a lab environment or related field
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Relocation is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology or Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related field
- 2 years of experience working in a lab environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn new applications and methods

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $53,900.00 - $80,900.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.Benefits
