Level 2 Fabricator Position in a Growing Architectural Metal Shop

We are a custom architectural metal fabrication shop in the heart of South East looking to add a Level 2 Fabricator. Our typical products include railings, gates and exterior structures. The final products are powder coated, hand patina'd or painted so finishing experience is a great benefit. We TIG and MIG weld mild steel heavily so production style welding experience is a plus. The typical work week will take place in the shop + on site installing the pieces you fabricate so the work constantly varies. A weld + grind test will be given to potential employees. Job Requirements:
-Full Level 2 Fabricator Skill Set - those unaware of this standard need not apply
-City of Portland and WACO welding license a plus but not required
-Production machining experience a plus but not required

Job Responsibilities:
-Fabrication and installation of products from raw material to finished product
-Plan and prepare jobs, cut lists, create layouts and jigs as needed on a precision jig table
-Fabricate from shop drawings and interpret welding symbols
-Variety of metal welding and grinding techniques, working to a high degree of accuracy and finish
-Confidence with metal shop tools and equipment
-Onsite layout and fabrication of railings and installation of other metal products

Job Requirements:
-Must have experience in TIG and MIG welding all materials on site and in shop
-Must be able to speak and read English
-Must be able to commute to and from our shop in South East
-Must have valid drivers license
-Ability to think critically, troubleshoot and use common sense
-Advanced math skills (addition, subtraction, fraction/decimal conversion, geometry)
-Ability to work safely and follow all safety protocols
-Ability to lift 45 lbs and push/pull 150 lbs
-Basic rigging experience a plus
