Heavy Equipment Operator**
**Job Description**
Join a leading civil site contractor in Charleston as a Heavy Equipment Operator and work on a variety of projects in the local area. Enjoy the benefit of being home every night with minimal travel requirements, as all work is confined to the Greater Charleston Area.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, track hoes, and excavators to perform civil site work.
+ Assist with manual labor tasks when not operating equipment, including shoveling, trench work, and loading/unloading supplies.
+ Be an integral part of the team, contributing to all aspects of the project to ensure its completion.
+ Maintain reliability and punctuality, and foster a positive attitude as part of the crew.
+ Submit to mandatory drug testing as part of the employment process.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, and graders.
+ Experience in fine grading is highly preferred.
+ Familiarity with GPS technology is advantageous.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and potential weekends.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in earthworks, civil site, and utility construction.
+ Proficient in blueprint reading.
+ Willingness to engage in general labor tasks as needed.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
