We are seeking a reliable Equipment Operator and hard-working Laborer to support high-end construction projects in the Concord, NH area during the second shift (3-11pm, Monday through Friday).
This is a field-based position that involves working in active demolition, construction, and excavation environments. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, safety-focused, and ready to work hands-on as part of a team. The heavy equipment operator and laborer will work together to operate a soil hopper and trommel screener to identify and retrieve plastics in contaminated soil.
Responsibilities:
- Work in demolition, construction, and excavation environments following detailed safety and operational procedures
- Operate hand and power tools including jackhammers, concrete drills, and other equipment
- Perform tasks from elevated surfaces such as ladders or scaffolding when needed
- Excavate contaminated soil or materials by hand and conduct cleanup activities as directed
- Bend, crouch, lift, and carry materials as part of heavy manual labor throughout the workday
- Assist the Equipment Operators with day-to-day field tasks, including setup and breakdown of work areas.
- Follow safety protocols at all times and actively participate in safety meetings.
- Report unsafe conditions or near-miss incidents immediately to the Site Supervisor.
- Support implementation of environmental cleanup plans under supervision of project leads.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physically able to perform demanding labor outdoors in all weather conditions
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and small equipment
- Willingness to work in potentially hazardous environments with proper PPE and training
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
- Strong team player with good communication and situational awareness
- Valid U.S. drivers license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in environmental remediation, waste management, or construction/demolition
- Familiarity with hazardous waste handling and disposal procedures
- Forklift or equipment operation certification a plus
Pay Range: $23/hr. - $35/hr.
