The TerraPower Isotopes® (TPI™) division has been established to pursue medical isotopes development--advancing nuclear science for significant human health benefits. We seek to support revolutionary radiotherapies for treatments of various cancers through the supply of radioisotopes. TerraPower currently has unique access to a supply of thorium for the long-term production of actinium-225 in the growing alpha therapy market and intends to expand into other nuclear related medical treatments.

Project Manager - TPI

TerraPower Isotopes (TPI) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the design, construction, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art cGMP radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role provides critical project management leadership across all phases of the project and will operate under stringent FDA and NRC regulations. The Project Manager will report to the Principal Project Manager and work closely with a multidisciplinary team including engineering, procurement, construction, and quality assurance to ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

This facility will require detailed design and integration of hot cells, specialized HVAC systems and regulated process environments. The Project Manager will play a key role in coordinating these complex technical interfaces, ensuring compliance with cGMP and radiation safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and integrate project cost, schedule, scope, and quality using industry-standard project management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, etc.).

• Lead the planning, scheduling, and tracking of engineering and construction activities within the Integrated Master Control Schedule (IMCS), in collaboration with project controls.

• Coordinate closely with engineering leads to develop resource-loaded schedules and technical deliverables for control accounts.

• Identify, escalate, and resolve project conflicts and issues, serving as a primary point of contact for assigned workstreams.

• Monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics and lead variance analysis, including the development of corrective and recovery plans.

• Ensure that all project activities comply with internal QA/QC policies and external regulatory requirements (FDA, NRC, etc.).

• Work closely with procurement and contract administration to ensure contract compliance and manage vendor performance.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation, risk register, and project records in accordance with corporate and regulatory standards.

• Foster clear communication across disciplines and ensure alignment between technical, regulatory, and business stakeholders.

Key Qualifications and Skills :

• B.S degree, with M.S, MBA or advanced degree preferred in Nuclear Medicine, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Project Management or related subject or relevant similar experience

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in highly regulated environments; experience in cGMP, nuclear, pharmaceutical, or radiopharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.

• Demonstrated experience delivering large, complex capital projects under FDA and/or NRC oversight.

• Proficiency with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), risk management, and integrated scheduling tools.

• Strong working knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.

• PMP certification (or equivalent) preferred.

• Working knowledge of cleanroom, hot cell, or containment system design.

• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality by Design (QbD), and validation protocols.

• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting.

Job details:

Salary Range Level 10: $113,605 - $170,408

Salary Range Level 11: $125,257 - $208,762

*Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 – 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
