The Opportunity

As the ORAT (Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer) Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing site activities during deployment and go-live phases, while ensuring a smooth transition to managing Operations Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) labor. Your expertise will be instrumental in coordinating and managing critical airport systems, ensuring their successful implementation, integration, and operation. This role will require extensive collaboration with various stakeholders and a strong understanding of airport operational systems. Join us in shaping the future of airport operations with cutting-edge technologies. This position is project-specific, aligned with the anticipated timeline of the project, which is expected to be completed by June/July 2026. There may be potential for extension based on project needs, any continuation would be contingent upon the project's timeline and requirements.

You will make an impact by....

Site Management

Lead and oversee site activities during system deployment and go-live phases.

Coordinate with project teams, contractors, vendors, and airport stakeholders to ensure milestones are met.

Develop and implement detailed site activity schedules, ensuring timely execution while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Identify and address any site-related issues or conflicts to minimize disruptions.

ORAT Transition and Operations

Manage the transition from deployment activities to ORAT labor management.

Lead ORAT activities, including operational trials, readiness assessments, and stakeholder engagement.

Collaborate with airport operations teams to ensure seamless transfer of systems into operational use.

Provide ongoing operational support and training for airport personnel as needed.

Systems Expertise and Oversight

Oversee and manage the deployment and integration of the following systems:

IROPS: Irregular Operations Tracking Management

AVDGS: Advanced Visual Docking Guidance Systems

ITOCC: Video Wall system for the Integrated Terminal Operational Control Center

VACR: Video Wall system for the Virtual Apron Control Room

ICWP: Integrated Controller Working Position, Pre-Departure Sequencer, and Multilateration

ALCMS: Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring System

AGL: Airfield Ground Lighting

VSS: Apron Surveillance/Video

RIDS: Ramp Information Display System

DCMS: Deicing Control Management System

GTM: Gate Turn Management

RSMS: Ramp Services Monitoring System

GAT: Gate Integration & Tracking of Turnaround Activities

Ensure that systems are tested and deployed to meet operational requirements.

Monitor system performance during trials and live operations to proactively address issues.

Leadership and Communication

Foster strong relationships with internal teams, airport authorities, and external vendors.

Provide clear and consistent communication to stakeholders regarding project progress and site activities.

Develop and implement best practices for site and ORAT management.

Lead, mentor, and support teams to ensure project success and operational excellence.

The talent we want to inspire has...

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in site management or ORAT management for large-scale projects, preferably in the aviation industry.

Familiarity with airport operations and systems such as AVDGS, IROPS, ALCMS, or similar technologies.

Strong understanding of project management principles and site activity coordination.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to pass required BCI and FBI Background Checks.

Fluent English (oral and written communication skills); additional languages are a plus.

Ability to travel domestically or internationally as required - up to 50%.
