Experienced Commercial Floor Covering Installer

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Flooring Covering Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled at installing carpet tile, glue-down pattern-match carpet, glue-down LVP, and resilient vinyl with heat-weld seams. Be accustomed to working on large commercial sites, demonstrating a strong attention to safe work practice, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Duties

• Install commercial-grade carpet tile or pattern-match carpet
• Install commercial-grade resilient vinyl (heat weld), glue-down LVP, or VCT
• Install vinyl cove base or self-coving sheet vinyl
• Manual material handling - lift and carry 50 lbs frequently
• Perform subfloor preparation for installation
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the installation process.
• Perform installation and trimming of transitions between different types of flooring.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the installation process.
• Wear PPE at all times:  safety glasses, work gloves, knee pads, solid-sole work boots, a safety helmet, protective clothing (long-sleeve shirt and jeans), including a high-visibility work vest.

Requirements

• Commercial Flooring Apprentice 1 - 4 years of experience
• Commercial Flooring Installer 5 - 12 years of experience
• Ability to stop, bend, kneel, lift, and carry 50 lbs frequently
• Must have tools for carpet, vinyl, cove base, and transition installation
• Work as part of a crew
• Complete or possess an OSHA 10 or 30 Construction Card
• Complete or possess a First-Aid/CPR Certification
• Must consent to and pass a background check.
