We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer II in Poestenkill, NY.

The Mechanical Engineer II designs mechanical components and assemblies to support R&D projects, product enhancements and existing products. Generates design documentation, assembly procedures, and manufacturing information. Assembles and tests R&D projects and first-build projects. Develops customer installation plans and layouts. Provide support to other engineering, service, and sales staff. Work products are completed with a moderate need for direction from management.

Here are some of the responsibilities of the position:

  • Creation of mechanical designs and design documentation to support manufacture, assembly and field usage of the designs.
  • Management of independent projects with moderate levels of supervision. Support of new manufacturing processes, machines, and enhancements.
  • Maintenance of existing designs and design documentation to support ongoing product production.
  • Support management of the company facilities.
  • Assembly and testing of prototypes and first-build projects.
  • Development of customer installation and site layout plans.
  • Infrequent travel to customer sites for design troubleshooting and repair.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering with a strong preference for Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Great aptitude and attitude
  • Works well alone and as part of a great team
