Painter Job Description The Painter role involves selecting appropriate paint or mixing paints using automated equipment, operating hand-held spray guns or other mechanized painting equipment, and painting small items or applying touch-ups with paint brushes. You will use related equipment such as forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, hand tools, and a tape measure to ensure a smooth workflow. Additionally, maintaining equipment operational through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and completing daily check sheets is vital. Understanding and adhering to job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures is crucial to maintain performance standards. Responsibilities Select appropriate paint or mix paints using automated paint mixing equipment. Operate hand-held spray guns or other mechanized painting equipment. Paint small items or apply touch-ups using paint brushes. Operate and use related equipment and tools including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, hand tools, and tape measures. Complete preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshoot malfunctions to keep equipment operational. Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures. Participate in process and product development and improvement programs, teams, and safety committees. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Essential Skills 1+ year of industrial painting experience. Ability to operate spray guns and mechanized painting equipment. Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ years of spray painting experience. 1+ years of grinding experience. 6 months of grinding experience. Blueprint reading experience. Why Work Here?
