Now Hiring Sit Down Forklift Operator! (1st Shift) Job Description As a Forklift Operator, you will spend the majority of your day operating a sit-down forklift. Occasionally, you will assist with other duties to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities Operate and maneuver forklifts to move freight safely. Scan products and follow instructions for tasks. Report and resolve concerns with the help of a lead or supervisor. Unload or load materials out of or into equipment and lanes. Perform job duties of a Material Handler for production flow as directed by a supervisor. Transport and handle parts efficiently. Read paperwork and ensure correct containers are being shipped. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months forklift experience. Ability to move and bend for 8 to 10-hour shifts. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with RF scan guns. Familiarity with pallet jack operations. Why Work Here? Employees receive two 15-minute paid breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch. Overtime is generally done with 10-hour days, sometimes including Saturdays, depending on workload. PPE includes steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and a reflective safety vest. The dress code allows for shorts, jeans, and t-shirts, paired with steel-toe shoes. Busy seasons often extend to six-day work weeks and 10-hour days. The facility is ramping up for the winter season, ensuring a dynamic work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, Iowa. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
