CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager II to join our Commercial & Institutional - MEP Team at our Albany, NY; Brooklyn, NY; Rochester, NY; or Syracuse, NY office.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA creates state-of-the-art mechanical systems that prioritize energy efficiency without sacrificing strength or ramping up costs. Our technical professionals have valuable hands-on experience as plant managers and engineers in industrial settings so we can create solutions for complex facilities including complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering, and design/construction services.

At CHA, the Project Manager II works diligently to complete projects within the scope, budget, and schedule. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise. Our Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure. The professional in this role sells and develops work with specific clients, ultimately leading to a "seller/doer" dual role, by understanding our client's challenges, building partnerships with them, and providing creative solutions to those challenges.

The Project Manager II coordinates contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents. This individual is responsible for all project financials, manages subcontractor payments, and communicates updates to the client, management, and project team during monthly project review meetings with operations.

Additionally, the Project Manager II develops a specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, engineering management or a related degree is required

PE or equivalent professional license, such as AIA or RA, preferred

PMP certification preferred

A minimum of 7 years of industry experience required; a minimum of 4 years of project management experience required

Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required

Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management required

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships

Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements

Experience and understanding of building design and construction

Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required

Experience utilizing problem-solving skills, exercising discretion, and making independent judgments required

An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences

Must have good written communication skills

Good interpersonal and leadership skills required

Strong ability to work in a team environment required

Ability to travel locally and overnight as needed required

Consulting industry experience highly preferred

Experience working with State and/or Federal markets is a plus

Experience working with York OGS is a plus

Ability to obtain Security Clearance

SALARY RANGE:

$105,000 - $129,500

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
