Facilities Cost Estimator - DoD

INNOVIM Defense Services is seeking a Facilities Cost Estimator to join our team supporting the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) program at the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). INNOVIM supports the development, implementation, sustainment, and operations of enclaves and systems that manage missile defense training, events, analysis, and operations.

candidate will:

• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for facility renovation,
  sustainment, and modernization projects.
• Present estimates to managers, clients, or other interested parties.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates
  and resolve issues.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost
  estimates.
• Prepare reports or bids that detail the cost breakdown.
• Estimate the cost of equipment or materials to be bought or leased.
• Adjust estimates based on changing market conditions, price fluctuations, and other economic factors.
• Keep track of the latest industry trends and pricing to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Use software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting, and project management.
• Verify subcontractor quote submissions

Minimum Basic Requirements:

• Must have at least 8 years of general experience
• Must have at least 4 years of direct experience as a cost estimator
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and specifications
  
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong math and research skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
• Proficient in RSMeans (or similar) and MS Office
• Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification in cost estimation or project management is a plus
• Understand Earned Value Management
