Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Civil Engineer for an office located in Little Rock, AR, to engage in environmental consulting activities with a focus on civil and environmental services, particularly concerning landfills and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a motivated quick learner who values teamwork and is eager to develop professionally.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
- Manage projects and personnel to meet both client and company expectations.
- Make independent decisions based on engineering or scientific problems and methods.
- Plan and coordinate work, representing the company at meetings and conferences.
- Conduct fieldwork in varied terrain and weather, including surveys, data gathering, and construction quality assurance.
- Perform office-based tasks such as CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, and creating site plans.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of environmental regulations and compliance.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience with AutoCAD and other design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling.
- Drive and initiative to excel in the role.
Work Environment
The position is primarily office-based with occasional field visits to project sites. The role involves the use of advanced design software and tools, within a collaborative team of nine people, three of whom work remotely. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
