Maintenance Technician
Location: Gardnerville, NV
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
We are hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and maintenance of public buildings, parks, and surrounding grounds in the Gardnerville area. This is a hands-on role responsible for general cleaning, minor repairs, and ensuring that facilities are safe, clean, and functional for the public.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of public facilities
Conduct minor repairs such as painting, removing graffiti, and light landscaping
Operate and maintain custodial tools and equipment
Inspect and maintain park grounds, trails, and recreational areas
Report any safety concerns or facility damage
Complete maintenance logs and records accurately
Follow all safety procedures when working with equipment and chemicals
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
At least 1 year of experience in custodial or maintenance work (or equivalent education/training)
Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and around cleaning agents
Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks (reasonable accommodations available)
Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in facility maintenance
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred Knowledge:
General repair techniques (painting, basic plumbing, etc.)
Safe use of power tools and cleaning equipment
Ability to read basic maps or building plans
