Construction Laborer Job Description As a Construction Laborer, you will collaborate with skilled craft workers using both hand and power tools, including tape measures, levels, and hammers. Your tasks will involve assisting in pouring concrete, aiding in building forms, and maintaining general site organization and cleanliness by moving materials on the jobsite. Responsibilities Collaborate with skilled workers using hand and power tools. Assist in pouring concrete and building forms. Organize and clean the jobsite, including moving materials. Ensure consistent attendance and tenure with previous employers. Lift 50lbs repeatedly as required by job duties. Comfortably work at heights up to 40 feet on scaffolding platforms. Essential Skills Proven experience and consistent job history in construction. Ability to safely lift 50lbs repeatedly. Comfortable working at heights with appropriate safety equipment. Experience with hand tools and general labor tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environments. Knowledge of concrete, cement, and carpentry. Forklift operation and assembly experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work with a top masonry contractor in NYS, engaged in new commercial building construction. You will report to the jobsite daily, joining a team currently comprising 20 field workers, with plans to expand to over 40 employees. The work culture is supportive, with involved leadership ensuring employee well-being and ongoing training. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canandaigua, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
