Client is in need of a Junior Project Manager to be centrally located in the Richmond VA area. They are in the industry of Building Repair, Restoration, and Structural Restoration.

They have multiple Projects in Richmond coming up and their Branch Manager is seeking assistance in managing some of these projects locally.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Support Project Managers in the day-to-day management of concrete and masonry restoration projects.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and other documentation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to gather technical data and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, quality assurance, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Track project materials, equipment, and deliveries to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Assist in preparing estimates, take-offs, and proposals during the pre-construction phase.
  • Maintain project documentation and files.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining two week and project schedules.
  • Document project updates, change orders, and issues that arise during construction.
  • Help ensure that all work meets historical preservation, quality standards and local building codes.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with field personnel to resolve technical issues and support effective communication between the field and office.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in construction, preferably in concrete restoration, historic masonry, or similar specialties is preferred.
  • Familiarity with restoration techniques, materials, and historical preservation guidelines is preferred.
  • Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and historical documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site as needed and travel to project locations.
