Inside the Role

We are seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join our Cleveland Truck Manufacturing Plant. As a Maintenance Mechanic-Journeyman, you will play a role in ensuring the highest standards of quality performance are maintained within our maintenance department. Additionally, you will perform mechanical maintenance orders as needed, analyze machine error messages, repair or replace defective equipment and perform process improvements.

Skilled Trades position offers a top pay of $44.95/hr.

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What you Drive at DTNA:

Provide emergency/unscheduled and/or scheduled repairs of production equipment during production and/or downtime

Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems

Safety: Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) when required

Mechanical Maintenance: Execute maintenance tasks from shop work orders, preventive work orders (PMs), and various instructions (written, drawn, verbal)

Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of our buildings does not deteriorate

Clean, lubricate and adjust parts, equipment and machinery

Operates forklifts and scissor lifts

Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment

Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists

Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices

Perform other duties as required

Knowledge You Should Bring

Five (5) years experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining hydraulic/ mechanical equipment

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammer, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices

Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and application to understanding fluid, material, and, mechanical, electrical, structures and processes

High School Diploma or GED

Attached resume required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

Previous experience in a manufacturing automotive environment.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office

Associates degree in related field
