Senior HVAC Project Manager - Design/Build Projects

Location: Chicagoland (must be local) Compensation: Up to $140,000 base + full benefits

gpac is partnered with a highly respected mechanical contractor that specializes in full-service commercial and industrial HVAC work. Their team delivers design-build and plan/spec projects with a strong emphasis on quality, client satisfaction, and long-term relationships—not just job-to-job turnover.

They’re looking to bring on a Senior HVAC Project Manager who’s confident managing complex commercial projects from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a leadership role, enjoys problem-solving on the fly, and is comfortable driving project success across precon, field, and closeout.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Managing all aspects of HVAC projects from award through closeout

• Leading coordination between engineering, field teams, subcontractors, and clients

• Handling project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and change orders

• Reviewing drawings and submittals, overseeing field progress, and resolving issues

• Delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes across healthcare, office, industrial, and other commercial sectors

What You Bring to the Table:

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial HVAC

• Strong background in design-build and design-assist project delivery

• Proven ability to run multiple projects while maintaining quality and profitability

• Clear communication and leadership skills across field and office teams

• Local knowledge of Chicagoland projects and subcontractor networks
