Aerotek is hiring immediately for a 1st shift fabrication welder.**
**Job Description**
As a Fabrication Welder, you will interpret blueprints and drawings, read measurements, and plan layout and procedures. You will determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements and set up components for welding according to specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Interpret blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
+ Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
+ Set up components for welding according to specifications, such as cutting material with powered saws to match measurements.
+ Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
+ Align components using calipers, rulers, and other tools, and clamp pieces.
+ Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
+ Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
+ Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
+ Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of welding experience.
+ 2+ years of experience with hand and power tools.
+ 1+ year of experience with welding blueprints.
+ Proficient in the use of fabrication and welding techniques.
+ Ability to carry 10-50 lbs frequently.
**Shift Schedule:**
1st shift - Monday through Thursday - 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (4-Day Work Weeks!)

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
