These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise,facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad arrayof other professional skills that support the National Park Service through theExperienced Services Program (ESP).

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in operation of heavy equipment and roadmaintenance on unpaved surfaces. OR HS/GED Degree

Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MSSharePoint, Adobe AcrobatDuties:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide bi-annual and incidental roadmaintenance on unpaved roads at Saguaro National Park and Coronado NationalMemorial utilizing specialized heavy equipment including but not limited to roadgraders, skip loaders, skid steers, and dump trucks.

Operates gasoline or diesel-powered engineering and construction equipmentwith wheeled or crawler type traction, such as road graders, tractors,excavators, backhoes, and dump trucks. 80%Provides guidance and training to NPS employees on safe operation ofgasoline or diesel-powered engineering and construction equipment. 20%

Other:Overnight travel: Bi-annual travel not longer than 5-days (each occurrence)to Saguaro National Park will be required.Health and Safety Considerations: Incumbent is required to wear allapplicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) associated with the job. PPE willbe provided at no cost and training will be provided for it.Required Safety Gear: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Physical requirements: Ability to safely enter and exit heavy equipment,ability to remain seated in heavy equipment for 4+ hours at a time, ability toturn around and look backwards from the seated position without the use ofmirrors.
