Location: Phoenix, AZ | Contract: 24 Months | Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8AM-5PM | Pay: $27hr
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Electronics Engineer to support diagnostics and test development for advanced aerospace electronic assemblies. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring mission-critical hardware operates flawlesslydelivering reliability w it matters most.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) andor Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
About the Role:
As an Electronics Engineer, you'll work directly withplex circuit cards, leveraging your analytical skills to troubleshoot at theponent level and drive process improvements. Your work supports real-world aerospace systems, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot Circuit Cards: Performponent-level diagnostics using schematics and electronic test tools.
Interpret Technical Drawings: Analyze engineering drawings and schematics to pinpoint and resolve issues.
Develop Procedures: Create repeatable troubleshooting processes for recurring circuit failures.
Design Test Fixtures: Build and maintain board-level test tools to validate electronic assemblies.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work with technicians and engineers to develop data-driven board-level tests.
Improve Reliability: Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to boost long-term product performance.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in electronics troubleshooting and test development, ideally within aerospace or defense.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits
Skilled with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.
Proficiency in reading schematics and bills of materials (BOMs)
Ability to design simple test fixtures and hardware tools
Excellentmunication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of IPC standards and rework techniques
Experience in MRO or repair station settings
Familiarity with automated or software-driven test environments
