Machine Operator Assistant Job Description This position requires heavy industrial experience and involves using computers to document production completion. The role includes ensuring the correct raw material is loaded onto the line, performing quality checks with micrometers and calipers, packaging tubing, verifying product quality, bundling and banding products, and properly identifying and tagging completed products. The assistant will also support changeovers and utilize sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes to load products onto the line. Responsibilities Utilize computer to document production completion. Ensure correct raw material is loaded onto the production line. Read tape measures, micrometers, and calipers for quality checks. Package tubing and verify product coming off the line. Bundle and band products. Properly identify and tag completed products. Assist with changeovers. Use sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes to load products onto the line. Essential Skills Experience in warehousing or stocking and/or in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Math ability. Heavy industrial experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience. Overhead crane experience. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $52000.00/yr. pay is $21-$25 based on experience with a $1.50 increase Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Gary,IN.
