As Project Engineer/Estimator, based out of Bray's Houston campus, your focus will be maximizing sales growth, in two distinct ways. By taking key projects, conducting take-off/engineering review, and providing sales direction to a network of Bray sales offices. Using your engineering/estimating acumen in addition to working for an industry leading manufacturer, you will provide "value engineered" solutions to save customers' money and make their facilities more efficient. As a Project Engineer/Estimator based in the Houston area, your first mission will be coming up to speed in our Houston headquarters on our Bray Commercial product suite. From product knowledge, to application, and technical competency; top candidates can hit the ground running, ideally because of prior industry/market experience. Job Responsibilities: Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management. Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards. Conduct regular meetings with clients to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner. Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates. Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating with outside salesman, and resolving problems. Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions. Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills and Qualifications: Project management Manufacturing methods and procedures Process improvement Technical understanding Documentation skills Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Office 365 Able to interpret Mechanical Plans and Specifications Control Valve & Actuator Knowledge is a Plus Project Engineer - Estimator Requirements: 3 or more years' field and project experience. Control Valve & Actuator knowledge is a Plus Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software. Able to work with multiple discipline projects with a timely turnaround process. Excellent project management and supervision skills. Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Bachelors degree.
