Stryker offers a rare and exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team in developing key technology to enable the evolution of new surgical techniques in Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) surgery. You will be based at our facility near Minneapolis, MN and work with a multi-disciplinary team in establishing the needs of our customers while designing and bringing innovative solutions for ENT applications to market. This role is a fixed-term contract which is valid through 30th September 2027 What you will do: Design & Development: Independently research, design, prototype, and validate components/modules for medical devices, translating design inputs into sub-system specifications. Problem Solving: Apply fundamental and advanced engineering concepts to develop and analyze innovative solutions, including proof-of-concept prototypes. Customer & Clinical Insight: Understand customer needs, intended product use, and clinical procedures to inform design decisions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and other teams to drive project success with minimal supervision. Documentation & Compliance: Create and refine engineering documentation, including Design History Files, adhering to regulatory and quality standards. Regulatory Adherence: Apply relevant industry standards, design controls, and risk management practices per the Quality Management System. Business Acumen: Demonstrate awareness of financial models and how design decisions impact business outcomes. Ownership & Initiative: Prioritize tasks, solve complex problems, and contribute as a proactive, collaborative team member. What You Need Minimum Qualifications (Required): Bachelor of Science in Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 2+ years of work experience Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired): Working knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and design principles Technical ability to create engineering drawings and models, applying GD&T and CAE tools Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design Ability to communicate basic plans and technical information to team members $77,200 - $160,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
