MANUFACTURING SHOP HELPER | AISC METAL FABRICATOR**

An AISC Certified Fabricator, EDCO works with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Aerospace and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.
We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working indoors and out. If you are a motivated self-starter, have excellent communication skills, and are dedicated, collaborative, professional, results-oriented, and reliable, we think you might be a great addition to our team and would love to learn more about you.
Responsibilities associated with the position, including shop safety, forklift & crane operation, shipping & receiving, deburring finished parts, machine maintenance, & cleaning/housekeeping in the shop and yard.
**Qualifications.**
- Dependable, responsible, and reliable.
- Mechanical aptitude with sound reasoning skills.
- Experience working with power/air tools.
- Ability to operate a Forklift.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and managers.
- A flexible team player who can also work independently.
- Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
- Safety conscious behavior.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
**Specific Activities.** Activities include but not limited to:
- Ensure shops are clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required.
- Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work.
- Cutting grass, stocking supplies, emptying garbage, unpacking delivered materials, and other general shop help.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Education and Experience.**
- High school or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is desired but not required.
**Physical Demands.** Ability to lift 50 pounds, work in an industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection and other appropriate protective clothing.
