Industrial Electrician** **Job Description** The Electrician installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. **Responsibilities** + Install conduit and field wiring for all electrical systems within the facility. + Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and subsystem equipment such as pumps, valves, and sensors. + Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus, including transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged or broken wires and cables. + Test malfunctioning machinery and collaborate with other maintenance personnel to diagnose root causes of malfunctions. + Effectively use various electrical troubleshooting devices, such as ammeters, voltmeters, meggers, thermal scanners, and cable testers. + Replace faulty electrical components of machines, including relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices. + Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. + Replace electric motors, check for proper rotation, and measure amperage. + Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. + Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. + Comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and occasional overtime as needed. + Perform other duties within the scope of the role as assigned by supervisory leadership. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and follow information on printed work instructions. + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. + Skill in recording data either manually or by computer as required. + Utilization of Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure zero energy state. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in electrical, conduit, troubleshooting, wiring, repair, schematic, and hydraulics. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy room to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment. **Work Environment** This is a union position situated in a shop-like environment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Hampton, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $65041.00 - $65041.00/yr.
