What You'll Do as an Energy Design Engineer + Design site layout, grading, utilities, drainage, stormwater and erosion control solutions. + Develop plans, calculations, estimates, reports, and construction documents. + Support stormwater and environmental permitting initiatives. + Ensure designs comply with state and local regulations, safety codes, and industry standards. + Maintain accurate project records, including design documents, progress reports, and budget information. + Lead environmental assessments and permitting, collaborating with clients and regulatory agencies to secure approvals. + Support electric, gas, and telecom utility design and Environmental Management & Construction Plans (EM&CP). + Oversee construction progress to ensure compliance with plans and safety standards. + Participate in project planning and align engineering tasks with scope, schedule, and budget. + Prepare proposals and cost estimates for renewable energy, oil & gas and utility projects. + Proactively support internal teams with documentation, coordination, and presentations. + Collaborate with external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
