Mechanic**
**Job Description**
Join a family-owned full-service repair and custom truck manufacturer specializing in body swaps, truck installations, hydraulic repair, electrical repair, and DOT inspections on heavy-duty trucks such as tow trucks, garbage trucks, and construction equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform repairs on heavy equipment and trucks including dumps, hook lifts, roll-offs, rear loaders, garbage trucks, street sweepers, and yard dogs.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues involving hydraulics, pumps, meters, and valves.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues including 12-volt systems.
+ Conduct trailer and truck repair, including replacing doors, interior and exterior side walls, repairing/replacing marker and brake lights, fixing dolly leg issues, and resolving air compressor problems.
+ Upfit and modify equipment as needed.
+ Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of mechanic experience.
+ Proficiency in hydraulic systems and components.
+ Familiarity with electrical systems and wiring.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
+ Fundamentals of welding.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with various fabrication tools such as plasma cutters and drills.
+ Custom truck experience.
+ Welding skills.
**Work Environment**
Work in a mechanic shop equipped with new tools, gifts, and multiple bays in a climate-controlled building with heated floors.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
