Job description

Volt is immediately hiring for Project Manager in Jeffersonville , IN

As a Project Manager you will:

  • Manage the planning, design, and construction of multiple projects
  • Facilitates or leads teams to ensure Quality objectives are achieved according to clear expectations and

customer requirements by utilizing project management methodology

  • Plans, implements, controls and evaluates the project as required. Defines the scope of the project in

collaboration with the factory and/or cross-functional management.

  • Develops the project schedule accordance to customer schedule, executes according to the project plan, monitors and communicates progress, and ensures project outcomes meet project objectives.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, and/or customers
  • Develop detailed project plans and ensure project scopes, team responsibilities, milestone dates, and the procurement

strategy are clearly stated for all assigned projects.

  • Coordinate the development of conceptual and detailed designs
  • When necessary develop and execute public involvement plan during the project permitting phase.
  • Interface with customers throughout the project life cycle.
  • Establish responsibility for and manage the physical construction of production line accordance with customer and
  • Provide project progress reports to management and customers in accordance with an approved communication plan.
  • Coordinate with procurement to solicit external materials and services as required for project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with customer’s facility manager regarding construction and improvements on work scope changes and

ensure that all construction commitments are completed on time per the scope of work and technical specifications for project.

  • Interface with department manager to gain necessary approvals and manage risk.
  • Coordinate the tracking, expediting, and completion of material and equipment orders
  • Responsible for interdepartmental communication for the project team.
  • Provide coaching to less experienced project managers, engineers and other project team members to assist in their
  • career development.

Education & Experience:

  • BS or Above in Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
  • Certified PMP/CAPM or equivalent
  • Certified Train the Trainer
  • Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt), 5S

This is a Full-Time Contract to Hire opportunity.

Duration: 06+ Months

Pay Rate: $26.00 - 28.00/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
