AutoCAD Drafter
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. This role involves working closely with project managers to review project scopes, produce drawings using software such as Microvellum, AutoCAD, and Office 365, and ensure adherence to project requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review project scope of work with project manager and drafting manager.
  • Produce necessary sketches, drawings, and schedules using company-provided software.
  • Review and self-edit shop drawings to ensure adherence to project requirements, bid allowances, and company standards.
  • Revise drawing sets and documentation per markups to prepare necessary shop and job site document sets.
  • Communicate with internal departments and outside vendors or general contractors to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Assist Project Managers in managing drawing sets and project-specific documentation.
  • Work with multiple project managers and projects concurrently.
  • Utilize available resources to build job-related skills and value within the department and company.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.
Essential Skills
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD.
  • Strong drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microvellum and CAD.
  • Experience in millwork and woodworking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Microvellum is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience with cabinetry or fixture design is a plus.
Work Environment

The work environment offers a consistent workflow in a small, family-owned company. Work hours average 45 hours per week, depending on work volume, with a flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Early dismissal on Fridays is usually around 10:30 AM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
