Thalle Construction Co., Inc. (“Thalle”) is currently seeking a Construction Surveyor to support heavy civil operations on a dam restoration and RCC (Roller Compacted Concrete) project. The position is critical to ensuring layout accuracy, structural alignment, unit price work and construction control throughout the project duration.

Job Title: Construction Surveyor- Dam & Heavy Civil Project

Salary: Competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Construction layout and staking for excavation, RCC placement, utility installations, and outlet structures
  • QA/QC verification of subcontractor layout
  • Support topographic and as-built surveys, and maintain digital records
  • Operate Trimble/Leica GPS and total stations
  • Coordinate closely with Project Engineers and Superintendent
  • Ensure survey operations align with project schedule and work plans

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in heavy civil survey, with dam or RCC experience preferred
  • Strong Trimble or Leica proficiency
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)
  • Ability to work outdoors in active construction environments
  • CST, LSIT, or related certifications a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone.
