Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and licensed Electrician to support the electrical infrastructure within our manufacturing facility. This role is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production equipment, minimizing downtime, and performing preventive maintenance in compliance with local codes and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components in manufacturing machinery and facility infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, diagnose root causes of electrical failures, and implement timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, control panels, PLCs, conveyors, and automation systems.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and control wiring diagrams for equipment setup and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and internal safety protocols.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support production and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repairs using CMMS systems.
- Support energy efficiency initiatives and participate in capital improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Valid state-issued electrician license (e.g., Journeyman or Master, based on state requirements).
- Minimum 35 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase power, VFDs, PLCs, and motor control centers.
- Proficient with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and in environments with machinery and noise.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, or respond to emergency calls as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent industrial safety training.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or TPM programs.
