Our client, a leader in facility management, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the operations team supporting the maintenance and functionality of essential systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Athens, TX

What's the Job?

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Maintain responsibility for facility services, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and technical proficiency.
  • Conduct cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimal performance levels.
  • Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety procedures while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
  • Ability to analyze the operation of various Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems and take corrective action as needed.
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
