Job Description The Lead Estimator will spearhead the estimating department, focusing on creating precise 3D CAD models, executing material takeoffs for estimating, and assisting equipment operators on civil sitework projects. This role includes fieldwork, setting up GPS on equipment, and providing training, with a preference for experience in Trimble Business Center and GPS equipment. Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating department without directly handling numbers.
- Create accurate 3D CAD models for project visualization.
- Perform material takeoffs for estimating purposes.
- Assist equipment operators on various civil sitework projects.
- Work in the field to set up GPS on equipment and provide training.
- Proficiency in civil engineering, estimation, and project management.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for detailed design work.
- Experience with GIS software for spatial data analysis.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols for on-site compliance.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Familiarity with estimating software to enhance project planning.
- Proven experience in leading projects to successful completion.
