Manufacturing General & Engineering - Maintenance Supervisor**
**Job Description**
The primary role of the Maintenance Supervisor is to establish, implement, and maintain strategic plans to enhance maintenance activities while offering technical assistance to the manufacturing departments. This position ensures effective utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment to support key initiatives.
**Responsibilities**
+ Implement and actively support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards.
+ Diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and initiate both immediate and long-term corrective actions.
+ Support the plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost goals.
+ Supervise construction and maintenance projects.
+ Assist in the implementation of divisional and corporate policies.
+ Maintain schedule and quality requirements.
+ Train, develop, and evaluate employees.
+ Comply with the terms of Local and National Labor agreements while supporting divisional and corporate policies.
+ Initiate contact with internal and external teams when required to solve problems.
+ Implement planned maintenance activities.
+ Complete work assignments within budget, manpower, and timing constraints.
**Essential Skills**
+ Willingness to work any assigned shift, including daily, weekend, and holiday overtime as required.
+ Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
+ Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts.
+ Experience in machine, assembly, and/or facility areas.
+ Knowledge of basic math, including trigonometry.
+ Experience in supervising a multi-trade workforce.
+ Strong knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
+ High level of analytical ability for complex problem-solving.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate, and elicit output.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
+ Trained in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training.
+ 8-10 years of experience required.
+ Knowledge with Lotus Notes or other email communication tools.
+ Experience in maintenance supervision, preferably in a union environment.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
