Basic Job Functions:Vulcraft-Indiana is seeking qualified candidates for the position of PROJECT MANAGER to be located at the plant in St. Joe, IN. Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects from the time of order entry through to shipment completion, ensuring coordination and accuracy thoughout each phase while working closely with internal and external parties.Compensation consists of base wage plus ROA.
- Ability to build and establish strong relationships with customers
- Utilize business acumen to make good decisions that are beneficial to both VIN and its customers
- Possess a technical proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and other engineering documents
- Identify and communicate potential problems or delays and offer cost-effective solutions
- Maintain the highest standards of service through professional, informative, and responsive communications (written and verbal) with our internal and external customers
- Work with the Project Management team to proactively manage the divisions production schedule by balancing the needs of VIN and its customers
- Exemplify a "project-ownership" attitude in all aspects of the job
- Travel is minimal; however, candidates must be willing to and have the means to travel as needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:- 1 year total experience with Nucor and/or construction management experience
- One or more years of experience in the steel joist and deck industry
- Project coordination or project management experience
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business or related field
