- Audit and refine the current 3-node Azure Local cluster setup.
- Develop and maintain installation, deployment, and configuration documentation.
- Lead or assist in the deployment of clusters to different sites globally.
- Work with internal stakeholders to automate cluster rollout and updates.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks; maintain alignment with internal security standards using Microsoft Defender and Wiz.io.
- Manage both containerized workloads and traditional VMs.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise teams to ensure secure integration with Azure tenants.
- Maintain awareness of data locality and minimal internet requirements and plan accordingly.
- 3+ years of experience in Azure infrastructure, with 2+ years in Azure Arc / Azure Local environments.
- Deep understanding of on-premises Azure deployments and hybrid cloud strategies.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, networking, and cluster management.
- Strong skills in writing clear technical documentation and deployment playbooks.
- Familiarity with security hardening, patching, and compliance standards (CIS, NIST).
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration, VM configuration, and remote system management.
- Experience deploying infrastructure to remote, low-connectivity sites.
- Exposure to Defender for Cloud, Wiz.io, and other security tooling.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools and scripting.
- Recommended Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), Azure Stack Hub Operator Associate, and Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
- Certifications in infrastructure automation (e.g., AZ-400) or cybersecurity architecture (SC-100) are a plus.
This position is based in either Tucson, AZ or Milwaukee, WI, with the need to travel offshore. The role requires flexibility to travel to Tucson, and it can be performed remotely after the first week in Arizona.
