Welder/Fabricator

Welder/Fabricator needed for a small but fast paced shop. Must have 7+ years experience welding and fabricating and be able to work independently and be detail oriented. The ideal candidate will be able to perform various fabrication and welding techniques and be proficient in mainly aluminum. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, basic math skills for measurements and calculations, shear and brake press. Our shop services truck deck assemblies including bodies,frames,racks,tool boxes etc.. and some custom work.

Duties

Perform welding tasks on various materials, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Fitting, fabricating, and assembling from drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Red Seal Certification in Metal Fabrication
Forklift certification
Set up and operate a variety of fabrication machines, including saws, presses, shears, and welding equipment.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Ability to work safely and follow standard safety procedures with minimal supervision.
Working hours are between 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday. Must live locally, have valid BC driver's license and have own transportation.

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
