Assembly Mechanic Job Description Join a dynamic team in Clackamas, Oregon, specializing in the start-to-finish assembly of industrial pumps. Utilize your expertise in using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and blueprints to build pumps for various industries, including Agricultural, Industrial, Municipal, Rental, and Mining. Engage in the assembly and installation of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, and leverage hoists and forklifts to handle larger parts. Test, inspect, and troubleshoot finished products to ensure proper functionality. Responsibilities Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled, following blueprints and/or work instructions. Secure parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. Fit parts to very close tolerances and operating requirements, involving filing and scraping of bearings and flat surfaces. Press shafts into parts, fit keys, align and drill mating parts, drill and ream for dowel pins. Mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment, cut and fit pipe and tubing. Conduct operating tests and make final adjustments. Utilize hand tools, air tools, hydra tools, and measuring devices. Read and interpret blueprints. Operate forklifts efficiently. Essential Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints Experience with hand and power tools Proficiency with torque tools Mechanical assembly experience Ability to inspect and troubleshoot mechanical assemblies Skill in large parts assembly Additional Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or related mechanic work Mechanical aptitude Experience with installation assembly Proficiency in mechanical repair Automotive assembly experience Why Work Here?
